It will be Monday/Tuesday before we see any results of the Directive being enforced.

The Directive was first sent by fax and the paper copy couriered.

The Belediye can only delay for so long.... on Monday phones will be ringing and people's responsibilities made clear

.We understand the frustration of everyone but the pools days are numbered!

Perhaps now is the time for everyone with a T shirt in Hisaronu to fetch it out from the cupboard. That will be our form of quiet and legal advertising.

We believe there are laws regarding street vendors and licensing, we are checking this out.

However the letter has been signed off and sent, the water is unfit for public to enter and as a consequence that pool must be closed to the public.
We are pursuing the implementation of this order.

Everyone be vigilant, report everything and especially any suspicious activitiy at the pool. We do follow every reporting

Re the Early Day Motion - this came about when Susan Brookes the Office Manager for Bob Russell MP came to a certain Fethiye restaurant and was filled in on the developments in Hisaronu.

True to her word she went back and raised this with Bob and she e mailed me a couple of days ago with the news of the EDM. She apologised for the work placement researcher getting the location wrong.

"It was a little rushed as we were aware that the Turkish President was visiting London last week and wished to coincide with this".

So a big thanks to Susan and Bob.

Everyone can write to their MP and also ask them to put their signature to the early day motion and perhaps just mention the actual location and suggest they read the Facebook group.

Link to the EDM

Brians link is very helpful - ammendments can be made and added and it really would be worth using this as a vehicle to get more interest in this topic in the UK.

Do all please write to your MP - the more letters received the more likely a response

thank you for clarifying the situation,we trust in you,and know that you are indeed moving heaven and earth to implement the orders, forgive our impatience, its just that as holidaymakers still there and newly returned to the u.k.report of kiosks, banners, and devil may care attitudes of people at the pool, and we find it hard to cope with, being so far away.we must also bear in mind risks people are taking daily,if wed have done it the british way-many of us would probably have been locked up by now-for inciting a riot!!we must remember the wise comment-softly softly catchee monkey!!

On March 22nd, on page 5 of this thread, I wrote that if the Mayor of Hisaronu wished for this abortion of a 'Dolphinarium' to go ahead, if would do so. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the mighty, backhand, Turkish Lira is going to prove me correct, & no matter what is being done by the various totally dedicated groups who are trying their best to bring it all to a happy conclusion, I see nothing to change my mind on this. If the appropriate licenses/permissions etc. have not been granted, how the hell else can this be allowed to go any farther??.

I totally agree 100% with 'Highlanders' post, PLEASE be very careful in your endeavours, as, if you are eventually successful in closing this slurry pool down, local people will have been deprived of their chance to make some money. 'Nuff said!!

Power to your elbows, people.

On Friday after being told that they should have received the directive we went up to the hell hole. As we arrived we met a family leaving and after ascertaining that they hadn't swum with the Dolphins we warned them of the dangers. They said they would tell everyone they met of the health implications.
We then went inside posing as tourists and we were offered a swim, look or photo. We were told to come back at 5pm to see 3 UK visitors from the Destan Hotel swim with them and we could for 15 pounds take pictures. Claimed no money and left but went immeadiately to the Destan and told them of the health implications for the guests. They asked the barman to talk to everyone telling them it was unsafe. I hope they found the 3 who had already booked.
At the Destan the young man we spoke to said that he had seen the Zabita at the pool the night before with paper work.
We then went to the Zabita and eventually the head man came to us and said he knew nothing but he waved a photocopy letter in our faces saying when he received the proper letter he would close the pool. I would bet money that the photocopy was the original faxed directive!
We think the DP have been warned about what is about to happen and the Zabita are at the moment turning a blind eye.
We will go back up there on Monday morning to see what the situation is.
If you live in Hisaranou and want to do something please wear your T shirts and talk to people about the fact that it is unsafe for humans to enter the water. Wander around and when people look at your t shirt chat to them.....please always stay in pairs and remain peaceful and dignified.

Nice piece of detective work Firo.

I was in Asda in Perth today and started chatting to a lady.  She was planning a trip to Turkey so I advised her to go to Hisaronu.  Told her about the pool, the facebook group, gave her  the site name and asked her to join.  Turns out her friend is vegan and into animal rights  I expect another few to join FB soon.:D
