I heard Nicholas Shopping Centre was nothing to do with them any more it had been sold to a Consortium in Fethiye. Anyway the only people you would have hurt were those trying to make a living after paying the enormous rents there.

Yeah Peecee, there are a few problems with the website, comes up error on page etc. and gives a blank page but if you wait it will eventually register your vote and then will allow to scroll down and add allow you to add other names to it!
It's a bit of a pain, sometimes it works straight away, sometimes a couples of minutes wait.  Everyone please persevere!!
Only found out yesterday that if you hadn't put and ID nbr in it didn't register!
THE DOLPHINS NEED THESE VOTES!!
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!

Couple of bits of news

Subsidence and Where Has All the Water Gone [?]
1. We took a stroll to the pool again tonight and now it is only half full of water. It was full to the brim on my last visit a couple of days ago. Very odd.

Also on two sides of and right next to the pools edge there is serious subsidence. Not your normal wavy up and down paving that we are all used to; the paving drops down and away quite substantially exposing the outside wall of the pool and some pipe work.

National News Coverage
2. Kamilkoç (bus) magazine available throughout Turkey May edition has an article on page 28. It has a special mention for our Dolphinarium that will be the twelth in Turkey if it opens.

It refers to a feature article in another Turkish magazine Outdoor Oracle.

This article calls for people to register their protest against the Hisaronu Dolphinarium.

I found it online here - use your translate option to read in English

Add your name to the online petition via this article

At the bottom of the article you can click an arrow and complete your details to be added to the online petition (the proper Turkish one). Maybe an easier option to try.

Here is the link again

The petition will be sent to the following

Ölüdeniz Mayor Yilmaz Keramettin

Mugla Culture and Tourism Directorate

Mugla Governor

T.C Ministry of Environment and Forests

I am totally against this venture going ahead 100% but dont think it is really fair to boycott Nicholas Homes over this, innocent people who are employed by Nicholas would stand to lose their jobs over this situation which has not been of their making.

I suppose that would depend on if they are also promoting this barbaric attraction.

I don't think anyone is promoting this any more.

Tribal Elder is right the Shopping cetre was sold some time ago.

It is fairly clear from all accounts that the Mayor would like to see the back of this as much as we would! Its just not so easy to get out of it as it was to get into it.
