It is great that anyone is opposed to this venture and I, for one, applaud them.  I can appreciate it's between a rock and a hard stone.  Very difficult to keep principles, morals, feelings etc. when you also want to keep your job and your bosses determination to make money.  Perhaps those who are in control should think 'long term', reputation, confidence in their company, repeat business etc?  After all, like all other nations, we talk amongst ourselves.

Obviously this is my own opinion.........
I agree with peecee that the people who are forced to sell these tickets have no choice if they want to earn money!  Jobs are hard to find so the 'sellers' have no choice!
The people in control do not have any 'long term plans'!  They just see 'Tourists - what can they do?  There will be a new lot in next week', so don't lets worry it won't matter, we may get a few people complaining but we can just get rid of them!
No travel agency in the Kas/Kalkan area sell tickets for the 'Puddle' there.  Which is why the Russian is looking to ... and I use this phrase 'LOOSELY' re-home 2 of the dolphins.  He is not making any money in Kas which is why he is looking to open in Hisaronou!
Hopefully all hotels, villa/apartment owners/renters, bars, restaurants etc can quietly disuade anybody thinking of buying a ticket! and advise them to book any trip with a tour agent who does not promote any of these horrendous places!

I wish the whole site would just disappear along with the water which is obviously going down the drain!
No licence should ever be issued for this site!

FACT CHECK

It is NOT TRUE that the pool has been given a licence to open.

Yesterday we went to the Tourist Office in Fethiye who would have to give the final licence to open for tourists in the event that the pool passes the inspection.

They have written (a couple of weeks ago) to the Oludeniz Belediye and told them that it WILL NOT be given a licence to open.

They have not received a repy.

Yes based on a rumour which the woman who originally posted it said a friend had told her and she didn't know if it was true.

We took the trouble to check this out.

If every rumour we heard was printed here as fact this topic would be a thousand pages long.

Dolphin Angels does the Tourist office have any say in granting a licence?  If so do we all need to e mail the Tourist office or as you have posted they are already converted?
Getting confused now as to who grants the licence?

The Ministry inspects and can give a licence to the suitability of the pool for its purpose. For this the Dolphins do need to be in it so a catch 22.

For the pool to be used by and open to tourists there is another licence and the tourist office needs to put the final stamp on the tourist licence.

Please do NOT email this office. The staff there are totally on board and opposed to this - they have all the necessary information and are well aware of the overwhelming opposition to this.

They have been very active on our behalf and do not need to be inundated with emails.

In the end the final decision rests with Ankara.

In next couple of days there will be somethings everyone can do and these will be posted when we have pulled it all together.
