Fancy that!
On the Kas dolphin website, which I must say looks beautiful, except you are not shown the tiny cages and the bloodied, depressed dolphins, the owner has said, quote
HOWEVER IT IS PROVED SCIENTIFICALLY THAT IF DOLPHINS LIVE IN POOLS OR IN THE SEA, WHILE THEY ARE SURROUNDED BY CONCRETE WALLS, THE SONAR WAVES THEY HAVE, WHICH ARE VITAL FOR THERAPY, DECREASE CONTINUOUSLY
so why on earth is he building a supposed therapy pool with concrete walls in the middle of Hisaronu!
This factor  will cause great distress to the two poor dolphins incarcerated in a concrete prison because of HIM
Guess he will quickly delete this from his website

Guess he will delete that statement quickly.

Sorry Judith replied before I had read the piece on the Kas website.

It also says...............

'It does not surround dolphins with walls'  So what are they doing in Hisaronou if not putting the poor things in a 'POOL' doesn't that have concrete walls????????????

well I guess trades descriptions are not relevant here!
But at least we know the measure of the deception and the measures the russian will take to mislead or should I say deceive!
A couple more contacts I have found who are relevant, TURSAB the Turkish Tourist and Travel Agency Federation, local telephone number 6120974,  they must be made to know how this is worldwide and will affect the perception of this area by tourists around the world, re animal cruelty ,and they speak english
and very importantly, the Eurpoean minister, after all this was supposed to conform to european standards according to the russian.
contact Mr Egemen Bagis egemen@egemenbegis.com who also speaks english
Please please do write to the minister he deals with officials far higher in authority and these are the people who we must now work on.
also one of the best things any one can do to help is to inform your friends. Most people seem to think it has stopped but is certainly has not.Get your hairdresser, next door neighbour, person next to you on the bus, etc to dial 179 or read this forum. Remember the pool now measures 12 X 17 metres and that will be divided into 2! Tell everyone you know to think of the health and safety issues, and the welfare of the dolphins and the bad effect on tourism. Word of mouth can be one of our best tools, the count down to opening has begun!
I have the good fortune to meet someone connected to Whipsnade Zoo and the RSPCA  and will meet with them tomorrow.will let you know if they can provide me with further advice.
thank you

I recieved this reply from a hotel owner that I have known for some time.
Prefer not to give his name as he is a business man and I have not got or am going to seek permission to name him.

Hia heather,
i totally agree with what you say and tell everyone my opinion....the decision has been made by the mayor who is the owner of the Nicholas group and a fee has been charged so there are two ways the government Will stop it due to legal reasons and pressure from the public or the investors Will change their mind because of the general opinion

I have also sent a report to the Born Free foundation with the facebook link.  Not sure if they can do anything but they may think of some other ways to help.
