Please be careful when criticising Hamish McTurk. The report says that the Russian owner said they are confirmed as agents for the facility. That doesn't actually mean they are. I would suggest asking them directly. If it turns out that they are, I shall start a new topic "Transfer and Excursion Companies That Don't Support the Dolphinarium", in which all those who qualify can have a free advert and link, just by letting me know they won't be  :)

Keith nice photo nice to see you in person...

We went to Hamish McTurk tonight and asked to book tickets for the Dolphins. Receptionist phoned him and he said they would be selling them 2 weeks later.

Later spoke to brother who was unaware of most of the issues as in the European Standards and no insurance.

Tomorrow morning a meeting with Hamish McTurk himself.

Will not post anything about any tour operator unless we have direct evidence  :)

I cannot believe that the commission on selling tickets to sit in a pool with dolphins will be larger than the money lost on transfers, trips etc from people who abhor the facility and those who support it. Please pass that little sentiment on to them for me would you please...

So if Hamish Mc Turk does sell the trip there is no insurance cover?

just had a reply to my mail

Hi Martin,

First of all we are only authorized ticket selling agency as all the other
agencies. So we are not partner or owner of that pool.

Thanks for your concern and have a good day.

Hamish.

Was in Calis yesterday and was given a Hamish McTurk brochure. In it, it advertised swimming with dolphins in Kas from 23 to 80 pounds sterling. So if they are agents for the Dolphinarium in Kas, it makes sense that they will be agents for the one in Hisaronu.

This is e-mail I sent Hamish, yesterday, along with the reply;

To: info@hamishmcturk.com
Subject: Hisaronu Dolphinarium

Hello, hope you are well, there has been a lot of concern about the Hisaronu Dolphinarium and many visitors have said they will not book any trips from agents that are involved in selling tickets for this. We have booked many trips over the years and passed on your details to other guests but do not want the dolphinarium to open and would see that selling tickets was a way of supporting this business.
Could you please confirm your position with this.

Regards

David

Hi David,

Thanks for your mail. I have just spoken with a lady who lives in KAS and called SUE. She gave me all the information about this matter,i am infromed  which i had no information that Dolphinarium doesn't qualifed all requirements.  What i have spoken with owner of the Dolphinarium to do transportaion from Dolphinarium to the hotels and sell tickets as like all the other agencies but i haven't sign any paper. We only discussed this matter with the Russian man who owns the Dolphinarium. So we are not a partner or running the place. The important thing is that Dolphinarium shouldn't be open in Hisaronu. As a HAMISH McTURK , i will do my responsibility. Thanks for your concern once more. I hope this matter will sort out quicly and peacefuly. We are not the addressed for such a matter. I think legal authorites are the power. That s why you should send all your protestations to Government.

Kind Regards.

Hamish McTurk Travel.
