I went to Nadias bar yesterday, the young man told me that it was very exciting to have the dolphins opposite, he thought it would be a huge attraction. For that, read it will generate more money for Nadias Bar.
The russian had obviously got there first!
Even after lengthy dialogue, he still beleived it to be good, because the park would be safe for girls to walk past at night, now it is occupied!
Also the Russian loves his dolphins and they are given vitamins!
So forget the cruelty aspect then, as long as they are given vitamins!!
When told dolphins in the wild travel over 100 miles a day, he was content to know that they would get excersise by swimming in circles.
He did think the pool looked small, but the Russian said it was bigger than Kas and was the right size. And the russian should know.
It is certainly necessary for more people to contact them, with regard to informing them of public dissent and the adverse effects this pool will undoubtably have on tourism.
With regards to the Hurriyet article, I look forward to them contacting us now,in order to write an article regarding our views of the situation. And we will rely on known facts not fiction.
Perhaps the Hurriyet stands to gain advertising revenue, because I can think of no other reason for giving this wholly cruel and unnecessary dolphinarium so much biased and unchallenged reporting.
With over 12 thousand signing internet petitions, major tour operators withdrawing approval, travel operators licence being withheld, over 15,000 visitors to the calis beach forum protest site etc etc, I truly believe that we deserve as much columm space, unchallenged, just as the Russian owner has had.
There is a reply facility on the Hurriyet news article inprevious post
above.
