I wrote an email to all those named in antalya (the valis) on Sunday.  To date, no response from any of them.  Have sent another email today.

I contacted Ric O'Barry and Earth Island Institute, I have not heard back from them, but I am sure if Ric received the message, he will do what he can. I think in the end the greatest power comes from people like the Dolphin Angels, their endless efforts for these dolphins is very inspiring. Keep up the great work you're doing!! x

Information Update

Today one of us went to the TV studios to find out about the news report last night.
The Dolphin owner had invited the TV company to film the pool being filled with sea water.

However under orders from the Kaymakam the Jandarma arrived and told him that he was not allowed to use sea water as its protected so the pool has been filled with tap water.

This brings a whole heap of problems in itself for example the need to add chlorine, salination, monitoring PH levels and the monitoring and testing processes.

It is quite interesting that ever since we showed the first water going into the pool (photo page 27) we have had consistent reports from different people that the pool has been filled with water from a hose!

A CALL TO ACTiON coming up in the next post...

Two new contacts you may wish to write to are,
Ayhan Dede.............. ayde@istanbul.edu.tr
Proff Bayram Ozturk ....ozturk@istanbul.edu.tr

These are very highly respected, and well known marine biologists, experts in their field. At the moment studying bottlenosed dolphins in the Bosphorus Straits, trying to protect them.
They might be able to add weight to our campaign,

So please inform them of the situation and ask if they can help.

Can everybody also take into account the security aspect overnight for the dolphins!!
What do you think will happen in the early hours of the morning when drunken louts decide they want to have a 'Swim with the Dolphins' trip FREE??
How much money is it going to cost for overnight security by the local gendarma?
