Same here....stuck in UK - couldn't get more time off work otherwise I'd be there with my white bottom (!).    We have everything crossed for a quick and successful solution to this nightmare.  Huge love and respect to you all - have a safe and peaceful march.

Can't attend as I am working but WELL DONE everyone who has got involved. I know that many holiday makers have also heard about this and will join the march tomorrow. Let's hope that a good result will come out of it all.
Have a good and successful march everyone

Apologies for replicating this post but it is important for everyone to have this information.

We are confident that no member of this Foum would cause trouble at the Protest March but after the football and with a couple of beers inside them some bright spark on holiday may be looking for a bit of action....

If you are attending the protest march Friday 2nd July please put this number in your phone.

At the first sign of trouble phone this number - do not attempt to intervene yourself.

0538 345 16 05

This number is our Lawyers number and she must be told if there is any incident immediately.

There will be Marshalls tomorrow and they will be wearing orange and or possibly red t-shirts and the Jandarma are there to keep the peace.

It may be of interest to you to know that the Dolphbin Park people are also anxious for there to be no trouble.

We have opened communications with them on the proposed rehabilitation project and they are keen to continue talking - we hope that the Protest March will be peaceful and that our negotiations with them can continue.

I've been reading about some peaceful protests (entirely unrelated to this one) and it is important to be aware that is possible that if "unsympathetic" parties want to shift the way the event might be reported, one way is to have people infiltrate the peaceful protest and provoke in underhand ways. This can manifest itself in any number of ways - someone continually catching the back of your heal, even a sudden outcry from someone - anything from claiming they have just been punched by [the nearest peaceful protester] or claiming their wallet has been taken and they know who did it [erm, the nearest peaceful protester]. Cue huge row.

Just be aware guys, I'm pretty sure none of these dirty tricks will be employed but don't be taken in. My advice still is that peaceful video cameras are taken to film the peaceful protest and to possibly catch any incidents like those mentioned.

Just a quick note in advance of the protest walk.

Please remember that one of the issues on which we have campaigned against the dolphinarium is that it has been  built amongst the noise of Hisaronu, which is in clear breach of the EEAM standards.

When passing the dolphinarium, remember there are two highly sensitive creatures concealed behind the tarpaulin, out of sight but not unaware of the activities outside of their prison!
They have already been subjected to too many stressful occurances
