My husband works in a really posh Country house hotel, he worked from Xmas Eve through to the day after New Years day, he didnt receive and special hourly rate and only got a day of in lieu, big deal!  I work 2 nights in a care home and apparently they didnt get any extra pay this year either, they werent allowed to use their annual leave but were allowed to take time off unpaid, how mean is that!
