My mate who is stuck here in Calis has just phoned Aegean and has been told the earliest he will get a return flight is 30th April :o

Time to make alternative arrangements for many I think, might be time for a brainstorming session on here on how to get back.

The latest is that UK airports are open from 1-7pm today. However, due to the second ash cloud there is an update by NATS at 3pm

doesnt matter when uk is open, the flight to Turkey is 2,000 miles across European airspace and that has to be clear as well.

we arrived here on 1st April for 3 weeks..we are supposed to fly home this Thursday - 22nd to Manchester, BBC says Turkey airports are open??, I'd like to know which ones!!, we are all none the wiser than we were five days ago!!. I presume they will sort the backlog out first??, and those scheduled to fly will have to wait for catch up??, does anybody know??

According to the news last night the people who are booked for that day will get priority and the backlog will have to fit in with cancellations etc.,  There have been Scottish Airports open today including Aberdeen and some people have flow in and are getting coaches down to England.
