I am just wondering if any members that were stranded abroad in April due to the ash cloud have submitted any claims for extra food or drink or any other costs they may have incurred and if so wether you have been sucsessful or not.
Thanks for any replies.

We had travel insurance with Insure & Go. They have totally refused to pay out for delayed departure due to the volcanic ash disruption in April. We were delayed by six days. Fortunately, Thomas Cook put us up in an all inclusive hotel,so our additional expenditure whilst waiting to get home was minimal. I have since cancelled the policy with Insure & Go, and have been waiting over 5 weeks for a response to my cancellation e-mails and a refund as I cancelled the policy within the 14 day cooling off period.
