Just booked a flight with them for our youngest, similar thing, but she only waited 60 mins on the phone, however the flight was only £70 return from Cardiff, so if everything goes ok that's still a bargain !!!

Just sent the following to the Office of Fair Traiding. Bloody ridiculous.

"I am a member of a number of forums and have recently noticed a lot of complaints into a practice involving the travel agency "Goldtrail". Customers are not given the opportunity to book baggage online at the time of booking, but instead are told to ring a premium number (10ppm) through which the average wait in the queue is 90 minutes (£9.00). Surly this cannot be adjudged as a fair practice? Your assistance in this matter, I am sure, would be appreciated! Though not, I suspect by Goldtrail?

Kind Regards

Steve"

well done steve wether or not they have the power to stop this scam is debatable,
Diverbaz1 i have skype how is it free i know it is free from pc to pc,but i am sure it charges for landlines and 0870 numbers but let me know if i am wrong thanks,i had to go out after i eventually got through so this is what the operater said they have a number of people manning the phones i find this hard to believe i think they just keep the phone off the hook, the number off saynoto0870 just rings they wont pick it up,when i rang i was 20 in queue then it started going down after an hour and half i was 2 in line then it took another hour to finally get through, total time 2 hours 33 minutes,if it is true they a have a number of operaters they must be making thousands of pounds a day,i wouldnot book with them but it is very cheap and tempting but i had to go in work late due to over 3 hours trying ROBTRAIL,anyway thats my rant finished but unlikely to book with them again

I'd definitely take the time to reacquaint Watchdog & Goldtrail regarding this, it is truly outrageous.

Their paths have crossed previously: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2009/03/goldtrail_holidays.html
