Younger? Miroslav Klose is older than both Upson and Terry and they still couldn't keep up with him!

Have just been listening to a programme on BBC 5 after the dutch game , the Guy on there suggested getting rid of the whole team including manager and bring in the youngsters. Sounds good to me by the next world cup they will all be around 24 - 28, but at least they might play like a team.

Ron ( I sat in an empty pub with no tv having sunday lunch while match was on )

Sorry I disagree Stoop  :-)... there are always decisions in football that go against, unjust penalties..red cards that shouldnt be, equally red cards that should,,, disallowed goals etc... before half time or in the last few minutes of games, it happens. The second half the germans were masterful in defence, efficient, and as germans.. thouroughly did their homework on us, we were outplayed and in my opinion,we were crap in all four matches, so even at 2-2  I would wager we would have still lost it playing as we did in the second half.
On a different note, Hisaronu sank to a new level :-(   walking back to my apartment up Bar street there were two popular bars who on there large signboards out side changed the wording ( after we lost )  England  v Germany  1700 hrs   to  England v F*****G  Germany ( and it was the letters not asterisks !!!   ) Totally disgusting I thought, accept the defeat with dignity, there was no need for that !!! obviously the turkish bar persons were extremly peeved who wrote that cos of all the revenue they will lose at their  bars  now we are out of it !!! with those comments hope those two bars go bust.

But we will never know - you might have lost your wager :)

We had them on the rack just before half time and going in at 2-2 would have been a big boost and we would not have had to be so impatient second half - leaving gaps at the back.

I agree we were crap all 4 games but goals do change games and 2-2 at half time might just have changed things in our favour.

Terrible decision by the officials and hopefully Blatter will now be pressured into using technology for the big tournaments. 5 seconds is all it would have taken to give the goal.

Seriously the way Klose was so hungary for the ball was a credit to him - the only consolation I have is that I have both him and Poldoski in my Sun Dream Team!!!

Ps Stoop - I don't want to lower the tone of the debate but I have a theory - a team that has a lots of large bottoms will never win anything - did you see the size of Barry's as he was chasing shadows for their 3rd goal - along with a few others in the team - any nominations!!!!! :D

Why keep going on about the disallowed goal. It is obvious from the photo below if did NOT cross the line.
