I meant it in terms of her being totally smile free. I agree it does perhaps read as meaning something else and I didn't intend that at all. Sorry Mrs. Mulberry.

A good review. Might even try the place next time.

Slightly off at a tangent but one thing that really gets to me with service is that I always give my customers 100% of my attention but rarely seem to get it when I am the customer. Sign of the times?

funny that this review started today because I was going to write something about their delicious carrot cake that I sampled earlier today and was so impressed that I had my mate Lesley bring me a whole one this evening.

Absolutely scumptious and the price might seem a bit steep at 12TL but I believe that in this case well worth every lira.

Other cakes also available toffee and walnut, lemon drizzle (next on my list to try) ginger cake and more

I find it a little different in Calis. People often seem to want to sit with us and talk about property, their uncle's land which is for sale in Saklikent, what changes they've made to the menu this season and why, and anything else they think I need to know. What I want is to have a quick chat and once we've all concluded that we are all well to be left to talk with my wife & kids  ;)

Agreed Scunner - I was really talking about the UK in general. Calis people are very good at giving you their full attention. Sometimes too much aka our good friend Rushie  ;)

I get infuriated here in the Uk when I am served by emotionless faces who appear to look at me as an annoyance there to make their existance a little more difficult. One of the reasons I fell in love with Turkey is that on the whole they are very attentive and excellent at customer service.

I agree with Scunner, selling good quality produce just isn't enough and if the good lady happens to have a face that would turn milk sour then I'm afraid all is fair in love, war and business. I have no idea why this lady appears miserable to the point she appears to offer poor quality service but she can only ever be wrong to project that on to her cash paying customers

I dont agree she gives poor service She just doesnt want to be seen as too eager. She doesnt have to cos her food speaks for herself

Well she has achieved her aim. She certainly doesn't come across as too eager  ;)
