Wow, Keith, that sounds just like the ideal all-in holiday schedule for Stoop, methinks, that would give him an idea of how the "poor" ordinary people live, love, laugh, & be happy!!

Any idea on booking costs, timetables, that sort of old malarkey?? A quick response would be nice, as I can see this type of thing catching on. Do the distaff side of the departing "Bike People", or " Bikies" have to grow moustaches as well, or is there a special dispensation for them? (Issued at Esnaf Dispensary probably).

If I leave Fethiye before I arrive in Turkey, do you believe that it would be possible to get back to the U.K. within the allotted time scale, or would I be expected by the relevant authority, (probably the Monument of the Heads), to meet myself half-way, swap saddles in mid-pedal, & "kick that mule" to my destination all on my lonesome??

Finally, any jobs going for agents of this "dream scheme"?
Gordy.

You will have to take all your possessions with you. There should be no trace left of your existence left behind.
The advice from the consulate is that you should take a bin bag and a 10 litre bottle with you when visiting the toilet.
The consulate did emphasize the advice was based on the latest bulletin from the British Embassy in Ankara.

Yes I forgot that part. You will not be allowed to return to get your possessions so you must take them all with you. Somewhat cruelly, a new law restricts luggage on bikes to no more than two small saddle bags and 3 goats. People attempting to leave on tricycles will be ridiculed as is normal under international law.

As I have said many times before and endorsed by many " the best part of a trip / stay in Calis is the boat taxi over there and back.
Rememebering of course to `wipe your feet well` when you return to Fethiye Harbour  ;)

I  like this web site...personally, for us who visit our Apartment in Hisaronu for 18 weeks in the year, this website is informative, helpful, useful and at times the humour on here amuses me... particularly Scunners  :-)  but  I, and many others I know do not particularly like Calis.. but when I see / read Calisites on here slagging off Hisaronu, I have to remind them to just ` look around them` not quite `shangri la` Calis is it ?    why keep knocking Hisaronu ?
