This I believe to be a quote from your good self - so what's changed.,  Obviously you are now supportive of the unscrupulous Turks that rip off the  unsuspecting Brits.  So what has changed.  Fickle or what.  I was an unsuspecting Brit who was ripped off but then again I don't serve cheap meals.

Dear me, Elaine.  I stand by what I said on that petition.  I also stand by what I have said on here.  We bought from ALi and are very happy with our home.  Your case is going through the courts, I understand.  I hope justice is served (and I have said THAT before).

But, as I have also said before, I will eat at Ali's.  I am fed up with going round in circles on this as I have said all this before and will not be discussing my reasons again as it is getting boring.

yawn yawn

(Rindi, not at you, but at the thread).

Diverbaz was disappointed and won't be going back.
Eric was disappointed last week with another establishment and won't be going back.

We are all grown ups and can make our own choices.

It's not slagging people off if it is the truth is it? If he closed every post where someone gets "slagged" off. there wouldn't be much to read. Just as a matter of interest does anything else go on in Uzumlu apart from eating out? All we ever get is restaurant reviews. Not being sarcastic just that it would be nice to know if there is anything else to do up there.:D

Mercury, would you like us to post about how much we enjoy living here, how much we enjoy pottering in our gardens, taking dogs for walks in the pine forests lining the mountain sides,  watching the rural lifestyle going on about us, -the peace and beauty that surrounds us?  It isn't ALL about eating out.  Incredibly a heck of a lot of people don't eat out at all (I am sure the same applies in Calis, Fethiye, Ovacik).

Does he object to all the free advertising his events get on here? I understand not, on Facebook he actively requests that people promote him here on CBF. It would be a lovely fluffy world where we can take all the good and hide the bad. CBF not just allows, it actively encourages members to advertise local events - something bars and restaurants enjoy and use (or ask their customers to).

The point is that all opinions have a place here and that includes Elaina or BM06. If the man has his side of the story he can come here and tell it (or ask a friend to). If Elaina has been conned by the owner I am sure it is very galling for her to see her fellow countryfolk putting that out of their mind and lining his pocket further.

Please advise the owner that all references to him can be removed if he feels insulted or hard done by - but he'll have to stop soliciting people to post the nice things too.
