Hi All,

can you please let me know what the exchnage rate is in Clais at the moment, we keep debating as to if we should exchange here in the Uk now for our trips this year as we can get 2.47 in the Uk and just keep wondering if we should wait until we get there May [?][?]

Look at the bottom of the page sunlover.

The question has been asked before many times on here but you would need a crystal ball to have the correct answer.

You pays your money and takes your chance really.

Hi Sunlover,  BUPA online are paying 2.59 today.  Last August it was 2.30.   I will watch the rate with them every day and at the first sign of a decrease I will steam in and get all my money for my August holiday in Calis.
Regards
Tony

Sunlover it is under the banks section that the lira hit 2.60 and above this week but I now realise I dont think it was in Turkey as the chap who posted is UK based I thought he was situated in Turkey so apologies for me not reading the post correctly!

Hi Karennina.  BUPA are the private medical company in the UK. The transaction is carried out by a company called ICE. But they have a portal through BUPA. I found them through Money Supermarket, but with a company like BUPA I think they are a very safe bet.

Thanks for that Tony, just googled them and looks quite good, will bear them in mind for the future rather then use the Post office.
