Darren Fletcher was given a yellow in the champions league semi against Arsenal a couple of seasons ago, everyone in the ground apart from the ref saw he got the ball but he gave a penalty and the yellow mean't fletcher would miss the final. But in the Beckford case they changed the rules. The ref must have seen it as he gave Beckford a yellow card but then backtracked said it was for something else and not the elbow that he missed. If that is true then Clattermug could quite easily say he gave the foul for a push but missed the elbow. - thus leaving it open for retrospective punishment.

Stinks high heaven but it's what I've come to expect when the FA deal with Manu.

John are you equally appaled by the fact the Mr Dalglish refused to discuss the tackle on Nani, when asked if he thought Carragher was lucky not to be sent off his reply was " I think he was lucky to be playing for Liverpool" you can see the interveiw here
