Annoying mail from CBF Member Transfer Company

I would be surprised if CBF played any part in this - I would have noticed. It seems like they are letting all their former customers know about their services through an email address list they have accrued over the years. Then sending the info 6 times :D

Exactly Keith. That's the reason I blocked them a few months back - I kept getting multiple emails about the same thing. Only slightly less annoying than the African ones I get telling me I can be rich beyond my dreams and the ones I get from the banks that I do not bank with telling me my account is frozen and I need to provide them with all my details asap.

Seriously though there is obviously a glitch in their system as multiple emails seem to be a regular occurrence. Maybe they will see this thread and be able to identify the problem.

We did use them about 3 years ago, so, as has been suggested they must have kept their old lists and are blanket emailing everyone (6 times).   Glad I have blocked them now I hate getting the same mail over and over.

aha, me too, still getting them, I actually did place an enquiry with them but was not happy with their pricing as they conveniently left stuff out -- and they wanted £400 excess!

Subject: Re: Car Hire

Good morning John,

Hope all is well.

This price ( quoted £150 ) includes insurance and can be for two named drivers. We will need to see the driving licences of all drivers. There is no additional charge for the additional driver.

There is a £400 excess on our insurance policies.
We can only provide car insurance with a £400 excess.

The insurance cover on our vehicles has a £400 excess so any collision damage would come under this.
The price includes unlimited mileage and delivery/collection to Dalaman airport

Any damage to tyres windscreen or headlights would have to be paid for.

There is no theft insurance waiver.

All our cars have CD players.

i have attached the transfer prices for 2011.

i hope the information above is some help to you.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sally

Kind Regards
Team Orange

I got a fantastic deal from Fehtiyerentacar by the way, which had no excess included HTW as well!  8)

The african ones are bad but before joining the forum, I must have mis-typed at some point as "Calis" and Cialis" are very similar - the latter being a form of Viagra apparently - I now am inundated with rude spam offering a solution to certain "problems"!   :-\

We use Orange all the time - and we did get the duplicate emails.  First time in 3 years we have experienced this so just put it down to a mistake or email fault.

We had our usual monthly property inspection report and that only arrived once so the world hasn't ended.
