Lidl's bargain kilts
« on: March 01, 2011, 10:50:12 AM »
Was in Lidl's yesterday and saw they had men's kilts for £19.99.  One was out for inspection.  I have to say for the money they look really value good.  They would be ideal for a Stag do or Wedding.:D ;)
My two pet hates about Lidl's and why I don't go very often.  Not enough staff on the tills.  However, the worst thing is all the pot plants they get in and never water, they are just left to die [xx(] I always have to rescue one.  I have complained about this and was told they don't have the time to water plants:(

As a mark of respect, I so wanted to wear highland dress to Mustafa and Nadine's wedding. But there was no way that a could have taken a "real" kilt -  it would have gone away with half my weight allowance and I would have died wearing it that heat. So I bought a "fashion" one which was lightweight and which I hoped looked the part (leaving aside the Laffa incident of course :o :) :o). I well remember that it took us ages to get back to Letoon that night because so many of our Turkish men friends wanted to try it on.

This is Tashin from Letoon the following day.

Lovely picture, what a great idea Badger would be good entertainment! my father in law always used to sing that song to my two sons when  they were wee bairns rocking them or walking the room with them seemed to always get them off to sleep!

It was charming Gordy - we soon sushed that despite his protestations Tashin desperately wanted to try it on and when he did he was thrilled with how he looked :).

The brogues would have been a "step" to far though.
