The museum is fairly small & contains a hotch potch of exhibits; downstairs are mainly agricultural items & upstairs household bits & pieces, old newspapers etc etc. Definitely worth a look, but the day I took the family, the baby donkey was the star attraction as it was only 2-3 weeks old at the time.

We have been many, many, times. We always take friends when they are out and it is one of the best memories that they have of their holiday.  The breakfast is really great (has to be the best village breakfast I have ever had in Turkey) but the museum is fascinating even after so many visits.  For those who are trying to find it for the first time though it is quite difficult as it it is tucked away up the lanes by the canal at the back of Kargi village.  Enver the owner and his family are lovely and they always give us a breakfast for 4 people for the 3C's charity Promises auction.

Take the new road to meet the Dalaman road. Turn towards Dalaman & take the 1st right turning. Continue until you see the Kargi sign crossed out ie the end of Kargi. Turn right onto the country lane, keep going until the road forks & take the LH fork & that'll bring you directly to the museum - car park to the left

Went today, some pics are in the members photograph section.

You can get a dolmus from Fethiye to the main road in Kargi village, the museum is appx a 20 min walk from there. Not easy to find, it really is out in the middle of nowhere!
