From the Hurriyet paper today, an update on internet filtering.
It has been put back to Nov 22nd and two out of the four flitering packagaes have been removed.
IF it is to be believed and goes ahead, the two filtering packages to be offered are 'family' and 'child'. The report says, 'Those who decide against using a filter will continue with their normal Internet access'.
We wait to see what does come into force on Nov 22nd.
Perhaps the online petition has been a help.

This week internet subscribers in Turkey will be asked if they want to sign up to "safe" as in censored internet browsing!

According to the report on Click on BBC World there is an option to continue with internet browsing as normal!

Although there will be severe penalties for anyone caught bypassing the new censorship measures so it begs the question is internet browsing as normal really an option [?]
