How critical people are being!

If caz35 can't give her pet the attention it deserves because she has a new baby then so be it - I'm sorry but in my opinion the baby comes first and if someone feels the two don't mix that is up to them - and please nobody come back and say that they shouldn't have a baby if they can't look after both.
Terrie - appreciate you are an animal lover but to say your priority is the animal not the owner is really very narrow-minded when you don't know the circumstances.
Hope you find a good home for your pet caz35.

Lets just see how critical people are when a dog jealous of the attention of a new baby takes a bite at the baby. I am sure there will be a lot more people then saying you shouldnt have dogs around newborns.
I have a baby and these last few posts have really wound me up, for god sake she has a newborn baby, dont think she needs a guilt trip about trying to rehome her dog. Its not like she has dumped it at the shelter, for all anyone knows she could have been a rescue dog to start with and a dog that you dont know the history of is a risk around children anyway.
Hope you find a new home for her Caz

She wasnt using it as an excuse, it is a reason. Obviously she has tried to keep the dog but things arent working out having a dog living in the same house as the baby, so she is trying to rehome it. I dont understand what she has supposedly done wrong here, she isnt saying that she will abandon the dog if she cant find another owner she is looking for a more suitable environment for the dog to live in.

I think a baby is more of a priority than a pet - and I think you are being a tad critical

It's a request for help, not a request for advice!

Absolutely Scunner

I respect people that take time out to care for the well-being of  animals but challenging why this dog needs a new home is going too far.
It was surely enough of a signal that caz35 cares in that she asked for a new home and didn't just abandon the dog.

Hi, I was in two minds to put my ad on here and seriously now wish I hadn't for those horrible comments that I have received when people do not even know my situation.  Thank you so much for the nice comments as well as I do appreciate them.  Zilli was a rescue dog and no I won't be abandoning her or leaving her on the streets.  Our decision hasn't come lightly to find a new home for her and it upsets me that we have to do so as myself and my husband rescued her nearly 3 years ago and love her to bits.  She has unfortunately become very jealous of the baby and I also can't leave her home alone anymore as she is jealous when I take the baby out without her and barks all the time and because of this our landlord told us that we have to find her a new home or leave ourselves. This is only part of the reason as I feel I don't have to explain myself on here, but if anyone wants to contact me through my profile please do so and the others please keep your negative comments to yourself!
