Pastries and Pies

I know there have been topics before and it's no secret that I'm a really big fan.  I went along yesterday for my weekly visit - I am so addicted to their cream teas at 7tl that I have had to ask them to refuse to serve more than one a week.   Anyway it was hot and sunny and didn't fancy cream so had a good look in the chiller cabinet - some nice looking pavlova, some cheesecake, chocolate cake, and a yummy looking lemon meringue - eventually settled on a slice of old fashioned custard tart............ it was delicious - not to deep, really tasty, not too much pastry...just perfect - it reminded me of when I was a little girl - an individual custard tart used to be a weekly treat from my dad on a Saturday afternoon. I'm hooked - and the Animal Charity Table Top Sale on Friday will give me a good excuse to go and eat another slice  :-)

Oh I'm a big fan too! Last year we made a habit of going there for an apple tea and doughnut before hitting the bars  :) Mmm definitely going there soon as we reach Calis!
