Actually, that is exactly what I do  :-\

One front pocket for iphone, one for keys and coins (that would scratch iphone). No pocket for wallet as back pockets are a daft idea  ;)

From a Northerner who has never used a wallet - keys and shrapnel in one front pocket ,phone in small front pocket and wedge in right front pocket.That way keys and piggy bank change doesnt scratch phone and you know where your notes are.
