The gold shop near the Fish market gives the rate that comes on the screen from the finance bank news and up-to-date every second, no passport needed.

It depends how much you are changing. Today it is 2.85 in the change offices and 2.89 in the banks. That is 40 TL difference if changing £1,000, which is nearly a night out for one person!

I think you will always get a better rate here than in the UK and on a weekend the exchange offices offer a lower rate here because the banks are closed I advise you see how it goes tomorrow
