The panels in the UK are evacuated tubes and are indeed much more efficient than the ones used in Turkey, you would run into overheat problems if you used this type out there, even though the product itself is produced in Turkey and Germany.

Sorry Scunner, didn't mean to cause offence, certainly didn't mean to be rude.
I was working on the assumption that if there is a big market for a product, which it is there, maybe the price would be lower. What Stoop said about the couple who would be dead before they had a chance to reap the benefits, reflects the high costs companies are charging.
I can see the point now, about a different kind of panel for each country usage.

The company that fitted mine even use different ones depending on which way your house faces. The further off line south the higher producing panels they install.
