Can anyone tell me where to find the information to take my British dog back to the U.K with me.I know its on the site somewhere, but cannot find it.

Just bear in mind the rules change in January 2012 and they wont have to go into quarantine. So, best to check with Defra.

Thanks Rindi. I tried looking at the DEFRA website, now got to find a vet to do all this ASAP.

We were in Serkan's and he was doing all the rabies jabs and tests on 2 cats going back to the uk and said he could do dogs too.

Yes, Serkan is your man. He prepared all the paperwork for our dogs.If you are starting out now it will be 3 months before you can take the dog back to the UK.This is the Defra regulation regarding transport and the taking of the blood test. If you go before 1st January 2012 the dog will have to go into quarantine. There is provision in the new regulations that allows dogs in quartantine who have met the requirements to be released early. One of our dogs was taken out from the UK and we still had to do exactly the same as we had to do for the Turkish dog that we also brought back with us.Being a British dog makes no difference.

On another thread there was a discussion about how to get dogs back to the UK by plane and it was said that there is no direct link from Turkey to the UK. The option was to go to Rhodes.
