Jiva Beach Resort Hotel

We went past there today and there is no way it will be open tomorrow (June 1st).  Possibly July 1st[?]  Didn't have our camera with us, sorry, but there is not much difference to the last lot of photos on here I'm afraid:(

Why are they still allowed to work on this hotel?  I was under the impression that all building work in tourist areas had to stop by 1st May!

Not just a tourist area but a designated tourism (TTA) zone. I guess they are concentrating on internal "quiet" works now and as is usual in Turkey, if nobody complains there isn't an issue. It will be interesting to hear from anyone from the first batch of holidaymakers arriving tomorrow - to find out what happened...

I went down today it is still like a builders yard there are a few windows in a few doors noway in june .[?]

Not sure if it's true or not but we have been told that building work continues until June 1st.  

Probably true as there was a noise issue last week on our complex, involving Zabita, which came to nothing.
 
I do wonder how we can keep up with all the rules etc

And the people who are in this hotel right now. If it going the right way.

The hotel is still closed ! Till 11th of June....

We arrived here about two weeks ago and I would have said there was no chance of this place being habitable within a few weeks. Now...not so sure. Lots of work has taken place and as far as I can see, some rooms at the beach end are being furnished. Still loads going on and the back end is nowhere as advanced but it certainly looks to be taking shape. The lovely blue lagoon in the ad is still very brown though!!
