Incidentally Scunner, I bet you would not say that to his face.  The Ina Men's shop sells lots of designer men's clothes as well as a few man bags, also nice to see THIS Forum advertising designer webshops like the Outlet ;)

I would not tell a man who likes shopping for handbags that he likes handbags?

Ah well, if you had said Mark Wahlberg in the first place I would have known you meant the former rapper, and not Mark Walberg who is, allegedly, the TV personality on Antiques Roadshow (US). Was he the one who did Handbag Rap?

"....
So I suggest you just throw them all away
the handbags and the gladrags
that your poor old Granddad had to sweat to buy ya"

PS I think I saw Tink in the Sunday Market once.

It just makes me, as someone who worked VERY hard all of my working life, so bloody angry when someone comes on here proudly bleating that her daughters mother-in-laws cousins brothers uncles frickin cat has paid more for a piece of dead cow/sheep/goat/cat/dog sown up at the sides, than a family in other parts of the world will ever see in their life time!! [:(!][:(!] For Christ's sake Mrs. Harvey, get real, you make a living out of selling a load of second-hand gear, no matter how you describe it !! And that's exactly where your so-called "Designer" bags will end up, on a second hand market stall somewhere.

The second hand car lot near us doesn't call its cars "second hand", nor even "used"; it describes them as "pre-loved". I expect that's where Gucci bags end up - in the Pre-loved Emporium.

You have missed the point of the posting. I was not bleating about my daughter's relative's ability to buy an expensive bag, which is entirely her own business.

I was trying to make the point that the girl in the bar was totally honest. A lovely thing to find in this day and age

This may be difficult for you to comprehend, but please be assured you are not the only person that worked hard all his life. I know exactly what hard work is. I was not born an Antiques Dealer, which incidentally, is not an easy job and once again, nothing whatsoever to do with my posting. However, I don't mind at all being called a Secondhand Dealer. I am cool with it, no problem.

Some of us have worked just as hard all our lives, but have been fortunate enough to find the years of hard work have now paid off we can relax and indulge in some luxuries which is entirely our own business.

What an angry. judgmental person with a huge chip on your shoulder you seem to be. Please calm down, chill out and have a Happy and untroubled New Year.
