All seems ok on my travels around town, plenty of running water but not that deep.

Davo, they may well have been almost to bursting in the early hours of Sunday morning, I heard several times at the car boot yesterday that it was so, but on the upside, the water soon drains away

It's on the Koca Calis part of this Forum that there is flooding in that area, perhaps that is what you have heard?

Just seen at the turkish NTV news channel that a female journalist fell into flooding water while filming the Belediye efforts to prevent flooding at Foca Mahallesi. She was rescued by her male colleague. The news are repeated every 30 minutes.

here in Koca Calis/Ciftlik the river/canals have burst their banks at about 6am ish this morning; roads, gardens & houses all part of the lake/river/canal system at the moment. Belediye have just got a dredger-type vehicle out to assist but a bit too late & it is raining again now
