The locals say it is ten years since it was so bad. I have every sympathy for him and the ones who have property in Koca Calis and Ciflik who have homes with 3 feet of sludgy water in them and are surrounded by a man made lake. Not just this area either. Bodrum. Icmeler, Kusadasi and Koycegiz are a hell of a state.

One thing to ponder is that it was obviously not fit for the purpose - but not due to the possibility of huge water pressure (although that obviously was the cause here) - seeing the photos I am stunned that an earth tremor didn't cause something similar - although that would have probably been a swift break of tons of hard dry soil taking the entire wall with it - anyone below or standing at the fence would have been history.

Sad to see these photos of the sundial as its my favourite resturant have had many a good time there.I wonder wether it will be up and running for the summer? As a retired builder i would imagine that the work involved will take time and alot of money.

That is just awful, feel so sorry for anyone having this happen to their property, I feel sorry for the people who live below and all the people who have had their houses flooded this year, so sad.

Good grief, that's some amount of reinforcement.

PS Hope that photograph isn't taken from the top looking down.
