I have just been to see Tony, he is in quite good spirits under the circumstance but obviousley very disapointed from a personal point of view, the money he raised is still coming in  :) so he hasn't let us down at all we can only be very pleased that there are people like Tony around who put themselves out to help others. :)

Anyways at least he has a case of wine and a few beers now:D

Take care Tony will see you again soon ;)

Dear Friends, I'd just like to say hello and apologise on 2 counts, first to say sorry for not getting on here sooner, but I have been incommunicado for a while and secondly to apologise from the bottom of my heart for letting you all down on the sponsored walk, I can assure you I was DEVASTATED :( and only now just coming to terms with the disappointment !.

I can also assure you until the time I was injured I was on schedule and proving to myself as each day passed I could complete, however it was not to be, I can assure you I was not reckless and was wearing excellent boots, it was just unfortunate, I said from the beginning injury was the only thing that would stop me, and it did !!.

Thank you all SO much for your support and well wishes, I would just like to say that if anyone has paid up and feel agrieved at me not completing, please contact me via my profile and I will re- emburse you personally.

Sorry and thanks again, and just like "Arnie" said "I'll be back !!  ;) :)".

Tony (Hopalong) Wilkins.

Hi Hopalong !  Lovely to hear from you.  We hope you are on the mend.  You have absolutely no need to apologise !!!  you did fantastically well (I couldn't even have got to the first stop !!).  Your determination and spirit was inspirational, and we know that you would have got there if it were not for your injury.  Thank you so much for thinking of the animals, you are a fab person and it was an absolute pleasure meeting you.  We hope to meet you again very soon.  With our very best wishes (and thanks)  The Pookies xxx

As I said elsewhere Tony, there is absolutely no need for an apology Tony. The man that never tried, never succeeded in anything. My admiration for you effort is undiminished because you had to curtail your walk due to what was a serious injury. All I can say is well done sir. Hope you are on the mend.

Thanks H, it means a lot to me, I am on the mend, but in a cast for 4 weeks and at the moment my pride hurts more than my foot, again thanks for your kind words of support  :) Tony.

I should delete your apology Tony!!!

My involvement in fund raising taught me that there are people who do, and people who don't. I do know why the people who do do, I cannot work out why the people who don't, don't. You are most certainly one of the ones who do - I take my hat off to you my friend. By my reckoning we have several THOUSAND members who read about the Bozalan School, the damp, lack of basic essentials and a appeal for a few toys for the kids and thought it was an appeal to somebody else and moved on to the joke or football section.

And you think YOU should apologise? No chance mate.
