RIP Frank Carson, comedy legend - nobody could have laughed more in one lifetime! Same off stage as on, a comedy act 24/7.

He appeared at Celtic Park for a half time wave to the crowd.
The second half had to be delayed!
It was the way he kept on telling them.

I was suprised to hear Frank Carson was 85, a very funny man. RIP. Was it the comedians he started out on, used to love watching that on tv.

Another one of these unsung heroes who has done so much for charity and it is not widely known. He will be sadly missed.

Loved the little story I read tonight. Frank met the Pope a few weeks ago and the Pope asked him had he ever met Elvis. Frank replied No but I am sure I am going to meet him shortly.

He did an after dinner speech at a function in London I was lucky enough to attend....many years ago.  I have never laughed so much, my stomach actually hurt from laughing.  When he finished he stood at the bar and just rattled them off, one after another and was the nicest chap.     Sweet dreams Mr Carson x

I met him once in the bar of the Europa hotel in Belfast. He'd just done a gig at the town hall and a friend and I had returned to the hotel at around 23:30 and wanted a nightcap before going to bed. Frank asked us to join him and some friends at a table and we stayed there until around 5 AM. He cracked jokes and one-liners for the whole time, no-one else could get a word in edgeways and my sides were aching so much that it became painful to draw breath. I can honestly say that those hours are amongst the most memorable of my life so far. RIP Frank and many thanks for those five hours.
