Well I think it's a great idea Heather - let's see what the 3C folk say about it...

Hi Heather, the shoe box appeal is a great idea and to give all the children their individual filled pencil cases would be a really nice gesture.  We need to put pencil cases on the list now! :D

When we calculated the cost of pens/felts etc on the list we were looking at full packs of crayons, pens, felts etc per pupil which would give them some to use and some spare to go in the cupboard so they have some supplies for the future.

I read this topic and thought straight away i would like to donate.

Here's my problem, i don't have a paypal account and don't say it's easy to get one !! this is me  :)

I am over May so i can either bring my donation with me, or i can transfer into a bank account.

Maybe there are other people reading this topic that don't have and don't want to have pay pal account but would like to donate so can we arrange bank account transfer, i don't know, it's just a question

Regards
Patty

Patty, we have arranged something similar for Sunlover.  We have an empty UK account that we use specifically for the 3C's for situations like this, for example for payment of the charity calendars, Promises auction UK payments etc.  The money is paid in at the UK end and we then pay out of our account here in Turkish lira at the exchange rate at the time for you so it saves on any transfer fees. All transactions in this account are monitored by our Treasurer

If you are happy to make a donation this way I will e-mail you details of the account.  You can let us know if there is a specific item that you would like to purchase and I can then let Keith know so it can be crossed off.  If the donation is for a non specific item then I will let Keith know the amount of the donation so that it can be added to the CBF running total.

More crossing off today - and many thanks to CBF member LisaRob for their donation which crosses off the first set of puzzles, and a mention regarding a lovely unexpected donation which came with the message "From the staff of Allied Souter & Jaffrey, Inverness"

Thanks again to everyone who is supporting this cause.

Today's Turkish Word: Tahterevalli

Very useful word.

Great thanks go out to my dear friends Cenk & Olga at Interturk estates who have most generously paid for a tahterevalli for Bozalan School. No Turkish primary school should be without a tahterevalli.

Thank you Cenk & Olga. Of course we all knew what a tahterevalli is. Just to be sure, scroll down  :)

A Tahterevalli
