Today, I passed by the area opposite McDonalds, where the bulldozers have been busy all winter creating the new Town Square. I hadn't walked along there for a couple of weeks & was shocked by the progress in that time. There's a huge expanse of block paving now & it looks like they are in danger of finishing it within the next 2 - 3 weeks  ;)

Yes, I saw them when the whole area was looking like a mud bath!

Just wish that one project could be finished before another started, no work on the new part of the prom to Calis since Jan.

Yes but before we at least had a road to walk on, now it's just rocks, not good for the ankles.

I just wish the wonderful mayor had thought about alternative parking before allowing the pedestrianisation the main parking areas of Fethiye. The town is a joke for parking now, far too busy and dropping of and collecting my son from school is so dangerous!!
I do agree with Lin, complete 1 project before starting another. Fethiye's population has increased fourfold in the recent years, but nothing has been done to allow for this. Schools should be priority not 'lets make Fethiye a boutique town'.

They put in a crossing with traffic lights outside the schools but most of the little angels won't use it so watch out cos they come out between the cars to cross and it is a very busy road with a lot of double parking. Hope they solve the contract for parking in Fethiye soon as it is getting dangerous.
