We will miss the curry night this year :-( however we do want to call in for a meal.
Do we need to book a table and do they have an online menu? Looking for a nice curry.

Thank you for your comments. Glad the Phall didn't put anyone off.
In reply to Keng38 we can take bookings if you email me direct through my Bagpus tag on this page, we do not have an online menu but I can send you a copy of ours no problem. If given a days notice I can also do a curry meal with various different starters and main dishes if you wish.

Sounds good, and will have to try it out.  :P

It maybe me; but I've never been able to find a good curry.
Well it is very difficult to get a good Curry that really is Authentic outside of Rushholme in Manchester and Southall Middx. I always smile when I see things like "Chicken Tikka Masala" which was an invention by Bangladeshi people in UK to feed the British! About 80% of the "indian" restaurants in the UK are staffed by Bangladeshi's, some of whom can cook,  :) , preparing dishes that are about as authentic as a plastic antique grandfather clock! It is a shame but we now have two types of Indian food, -- real -- and----- restaurant --- and the latter is often appalling but people do not know any better! It has improved in recent years, and sometimes quite reasonable, but still hard to get properly cooked food. For a start they wont take the effort in proper preparation and cooking, you need a high turnover to offer a large menu -- so what they do is prepare a sort of "basic sauce" or "Gravy" (I am shuddering), and add chicken. pre-cooked Lamb etc. to it in many cases. If your food is served 20 minutes from order -- its not genuine! So, to eat really good Indian food you need a) the right ingredients -- not "sauces or pastes" b) the right cook (Easy for me, wife, {she taught me to cook it} actually from India). However if you work at it you can get close, and it really isn't difficult -- but no "short cuts" -- no substitutes -- and --- no hurrying  :) I will try Bostans to see what it is like, who knows I may be very pleasantly suprised as you certainly dont have to be from India, but you do have to know what you are doing  :)

Actaully not true, it can be 10 minutes from order in a genuine "fast food" environment like Nirula's in Delhi, even looks like a sort of McPatel's with the overhead dishes and prices and the counter with the POS termionals etc. The slowest dish is the mixed Thali which takes 10-15 minutes becuase most of it has been cooked and is gently simmering away -- but they feed hundreds of people and hour so it is refreshed constantly -- and it is a limited menu! But pages and pages of menu means -- poor.
