Toy pram / buggy
« on: July 08, 2012, 09:39:37 AM »
Hi,
Does anybody know of anywhere we would be able to buy a toy pram or buggy to use while we are on holiday?
Something not too expensive as we will probably just leave it behind.
Be grateful for any help.
Thank you  :D

Sorry also meant to ask ...
If we do manage to buy one over there, is this maybe something the childrens charity could use when we go home?
If so where could we drop it off?
Thanks again

There is a place you can hire baby / children's equipment like buggies etc in Hisaronu called Tiny Tots I believe.
I dont know if such a place exists in Calis or maybe they may deliver to Calis?
I have never used then just heard of them.
I got this off another forum (it was posted last week)
"You can contact Gwen (formerly co-owner of Travel Tots) via email; baggie68@hotmail.com"

Hi sorry maybe I should have made myself a bit clearer.
The buggy is not for a real baby just Isla's dolly!
So just looking for a toy one.
Thanks again

You could buy one in Calis market for about 12tl.  I doubt it'll be anywhere as good as the one Isla is used to but it should last the holiday as long as she doesn't try to sit in it. Otherwise there is a toy shop on the one way system in Fethiye that may have something a little better. The other toy shop Dede'den did not have any when I was in there on Monday. All of the nice toy prams that I have seen are brought over in a suitcase.

Hope that helps.

Yes, the Markets have them.  We saw them at the top of the Sunday Market on the last row on the right.  We also bought a little supermarket trolley with lots of plastic fruit and packs of 'food' stuffs that my Granddaughter loved to play with.   Also Genpa have great blow up pool toys for 6 lira that children can sit in and dangle their legs.
When you leave you can take anything you don't need down to Eyna on the promenade the 3C's Charity shop is in the basement and I am sure they will be very pleased with any donations.

Thanks for all the info I thought the markets may have had them but wasn't sure.
Only thing is we arrive late Mon night so would be a week through our holiday before market day.
Didn't even think of putting one in a case (doh!) I migh try that option.
I'm sure we will have loads of things we could take to 3C's once our holiday is over.
Cheers, Alma

Alma, I have also seen these buggies in Fethiye. There are a couple of toy shops.  One is down the lane by the Mulberry tree pass Hippy Chic (that is difficult for me to do) it's further down on the left hand side.  The other one is straight on passing this shop, cross the road and there is a big baby wear/toy shop on the right opposite the entrance to the fish market, they have them too.

The toy stall that is on the Sunday market in Calis is also on Fethiye's Tuesday market, so Isla won't have too long to wait
