We ate at Meeting Point when we were out in April.  Good food and service.  Ahmed is a lovely man.  Goes a long way to please his customers.

There was mention of a framed certificate which could have happened if I had not run out of time  :)

I'll look into the possibility.

We enjoyed the food there too and will be paying it another visit shortly. He is indeed a lovely man, and not at all pushy
  :)

We saw him when we were out (but not to eat there) and he was indeed chuffed at his victory - he mentioned it to me, not the other way round.

I have no problems providing a framed certificate - it's also great for the forum to mean so much to the local businesses - and I'd like to do it every year.

The problem I have is that I can't find a certificate template that is of sufficient quality, but I'll keep looking. Plaques/awards are difficult to find as one-offs but I'll sort something.

Just a thought but does the certificate have to be "a certificate template that is of sufficient quality".

If memory serves, and in my opinion, the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence (?) is not the greatest design I have every seen. But is prized.

This Forum and Calis itself is about fun so how about a fun/quirky  "Best Restaurant" certificate.

Why not use the CBF logo as a watermark background and then choose a  certificate template from powerpoint - as Highlander says, it's the recognition that counts.
Also, the simplest of designs can look really special in a fancy frame.
