Tim Berners Lee World Wide Web

It was only last night whilst watching the Olympic opening ceremony that I discovered the world wide web was the invention of a Brit,Sir Tim Berners Lee. I always thought it was an American discovery.

My 15 year old daughter was totally blown away by that fact last night and it home to me when I saw him what a recent invention it was and how it has completely revolutionised our lives in such a relatively short time.
