I've just heard from Musty.  He is at the hospital with Alan.
Alan is in intensive care but the doctors aren't hopeful of a recovery:(

Such sad news, I don't know Alan but have read his posts over the years. Positive thoughts being sent his way x

Hi everyone, I happened to find Alan on the floor of his villa, yesterday morning 31st July. An ambulance was called and he is now in intensive care at Devlet Hospital. He has suffered a stroke and apparently the first 48 hours are critical. our thoughts are with him and his family. His 2 son's Guy and Grant are here now and his other son Mitch will be here shortly. His eyes are open, but not a great deal of response from him, as yet. Fingers crossed, come on mate, football season starts soon, xxx John
