Best avoided, rip off prices and substandard food/service.

Apart from bella mamas and meeting point could you name these busy ones for me davybill, lots of the restaurant managers i have talked to tell me this is the worst year they have ever had, im obviously missing these other busy ones. but this topic is really about the Sat restaurant.  ;)

Too right, every year is "the worst year ever" if you ask the bar and restaurant owners/managers. One of them did post a photo of the main street one evening last week and it looked pretty deserted at around 9pm. People discovering Calis now might struggle to believe that there was a time when walking down the prom was actually quite difficult at some times of year due to need to dodge the crowds of people...

We used Sat Beach both last September and again in May this year...and think its great.

There always seems to be a very welcome breeze  and is clean and tidy.

Food and drinks have been fine-I must say they seem to make up the prices down at the beach bar as we had totally different things on seperate days but the bill was somehow the same!

We have not been charged for sunbeds.

An observation :

If you look at their web site afternoon tea and cakes at the Ritz can be had for £42.00 per person............at the Wetherspoons a similar deal can be had for £2.49........

Somehow they both seem to make a profit and survive year after year.

From personal experience it depends on the time you arrive! I usually get charged (it's per head) when I arrive then in peak hours and its busy but later in the day I get away with it sometimes when I say I have purchased food+drink (which I always do,nothing like a nice cold beverage by the beach!)

If Calis is dying nobody told the hoards on the prom last night at about 10 pm!

Ate at Sat for first time last night. Place is lovely and in best position in Calis IMO. Clean and fantastic views. However 8 ytl for a beer and 20 ytl for a g&t is over the top! Meal was 39 ytl for their best steak but it was pretty bland really. Mozaik was by far the best meal I've had this holiday  :)
