Mosquitos on the rise ?

It had been noticeable to us just how few of the little blighters have been around so far this year, but seems to be quite a few over the past few days ?

Always more after rain. Lots of the belediye sprayers around in my area after saturday.And also more mossies when it starts to cool down. Maybe they dont want a suntan.....

I have to say, that in 12 years of coming to Hisaronu.. this year, in Hisaronu ..there has been very noticably a massive absence of mosquito`s all season !!!    long may it last !!

well perhaps  they are like the rest of us, buggar all to go to hisaronu for.

Just knew someone on here would have a poke at my comment, thinking he is soooo  funny.. So in answer to the above..perhaps its the fact that Calis was built on a swamp that its got mosquito problems ?

Exactly Rimms !!  I agree with you  .. why is it  one only has to mention `Hisaronu`  and the  derisive comments about Hisaronu start appearing from some members on here ??  no need for it

This seems to be the worst time of year for mozzies. Often larger than normal and with a very nasty bite.

Fethiye council have sprayed twice in the past week so hopefully the problem over the water here won't be too bad.

Hisarönü is much cooler than Çaliş and Fethiye which are hotter and often more humid and they are also by water so far more likely to have more mozzies.
