Yes or No to what Keith? Whether he did it or not, the man is not here to defend himself so I couldn't possibly vote or comment!

Only wish he was still alive to face the music.  I will watch the programme with interest tomorrow night.

What difference does it make. If he did do these things, It will just confirm that, the more popular you are and the more money you have, the more you can get away with. Best left in peace.

These young girls did not come forward because he was so powerful and so popular and they thought as did lots of members of the BBC Staff, who knew what he was up to, that they would not be believed.  Even though Savile is dead, this may stop something like this happening in future.   It may also give Savile's victims some relief and some closure which they deserve after all these years.

What difference does it make. ~ Best left in peace.

I wonder if you would feel the same had it been your daughter or sister making the claims

Why it is important that it isn't swept under the carpet is because the survivors who are left behind have the right to try to lift the huge burden, the fear, the feelings of powerlessness, the internalized guilt that this is somehow their fault that they carry with them every day and night for the rest of their lives.

It takes a huge amount of courage to face these fears and speak out about these very personal and intrusive experiences.

I used to work with abused children and young people and unless you have experienced or seen the effects of abuse it is hard to imagine the irreparable damage that is done. Too often the system allows perpetrators get away with it and often it is the child that is punished by being removed and placed into care.

If he is guilty why should he be "left in peace"? I hope he rots in hell as I am sure these allegations are just the tip of the iceberg.
