Thank you for sharing,  Colwyn.  I love the colours of Autumn and the freshness of spring.

It must be all that zider aroma that produces such colour and beauty in abundance in the S.W region ... well at least that's what Adge Cutler thought my lover!!

Autumn in Stapleton

The first set of photographs was taken at the National Arboretum, Westonbirt. This homes the British national collection of Japanese Maples, which accounts for the vividness of the colours. This set is more restrained being composed of native trees (with the possible exception of some of the evergreens). The photographs are taken at our private arboretum. Alright, it is not exactly "ours"; and it is not really "private"; but it is the view we enjoy from the back of the house - "over the garden fence" - and we take a proprietary interest in it.
