I have now ordered a new rubber keypad (1.99 delivered from Hong Kong) and a new battery (£2.49 eBay) and it will have a complete makeover when we arrive and I will treasure it for years to come
Might work. Like you I had an old Nokia but it wouldn't hold its charge. Bought new battery and new charger but still no good.
Sometimes it is better to pay the tax and have your phone registered. Luckily they hadn't started to charge tax in March of 2012 when I updated. The phone I bought cost £19 in the Carphone Warehouse (this was discounted by £25 as I hadn't upgraded in the previous six months The same phone in Kipa was over £100.
If you are looking at an iPhone or similar, it very much cheaper to buy in the UK.
