Taking this away from another topic about something else, what do you think the no.1 priority should be if Calis is to improve it's tourism appeal?
I have always said that the bars and restaurants along the front are the best people to look after the piece of beach in front of them, keep it clean as a whistle - in turn they could offer a waiter service to the area directly in front of them which people would be under no obligation to use at all if they didn't want to.
When I proposed this in around 2007, I was told that "the other bars" (the ones that are not on the seafront) would never allow it as it would be showing favouritism to those who are. So once again, a decent idea scuppered by people who won't get anything out of it for themselves.
So mine is a clean, well groomed beach - yours?
