Me too and how sad that she was so lonely in her last years - her children particularly Mark didn't seem to be very caring - such a shame but makes you wonder why?

As someone who spent 12 months on strike, I still have great respect for Mrs Thatcher, a lot of what she did had to be done at the time. The thing I look for in a leader is the firm belief what they are doing is right for the country. I believe both her and Tony Blair were the two greatest leaders in modern times.
RIP

No tears from me.

Do not speak ill of the dead but their passing does not absolve them of misdeeds in life.

Me too!  "U turn if you want to. The Lady's not for turning."

On another level, she was utterly career minded and as a general rule, you only get back what you put in, so maybe more time for her children might have helped. Just saying! I might be wrong.

RIP Iron Lady.

Oh, come on amca.  They did what they thought was best in the national interest.

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.  Show me the person who protests to be perfect and I will show you a liar!
