hi everyone will be in turkey next week, (would have been my dads birthday on the 3rd may) so i hope to see you all then, or whoever's over!!! just want to thank three people before I go. this last few weeks we have wanted to sort out my dads grave (you have to wait a few months for the land to settle apparently), but being in the uk has made it almost impossible or so we thought, our good friends lynne and dave (rindaloo)  found the number of a guy called Umit who arranged everything for us, lynne and dave have been driving here there and everywhere for us and have really done my dad proud, so to them and Umit I just want to say thankyou!!!

Id like you to see what Umit did for us, the reason being as I know a lot of you were very fond of my dad and though you may not be able to get upto the cemetry have sent well wishes which has meant a lot.

Also you lot have been there from the start, from before I was on the forum and its the last thing we will be doing for my dad in turkey besides downing a few efes lol and I thought some of you might like to see what we have had done for him    And also I think a few of you who remember my dads city towel blowing in the wind above calis will get a chuckle from it too lol

also when I was originally searching for a person who did graves I couldnt find much info, I know its not something one likes to think about, and then when you need the info you dont always think to ask cause its not something everyone would know, so (and I hope to god none of you need this advice) but if ever sadly you do, then if i can help and guide you to the guy who did this for us either message lynne or myself and we will be happy to help (his name on FB is umit kasim),

anyway again I hope to see you all inthe next week or two xx

thanks maggie im really pleased with how well everything turned out, the plan is to go on his birthday, his brother and all his sons and a few friends will be there, and were going to have an efes while were there for him. then go for a meal, will be a nice day i hope x

I met your Dad, No.2 , a few times, and always had a good craic. I'm in Calis next week so I'm going to pop up and pay my respects.

yeah where abouts are you steve? were going to meet in meri bar at 12 on the 3rd of may, go up and have an efes with him so the more the merrier? im not used to everyones forum names but have we met before? i know a lot of people there but to talk to or by sight

Hi Guy,   I'm Buddy's neighbour. I met your Dad a couple of times in Scarletts and enjoyed his company over a beer or two. I'm only in Calis for seven days from Saturday so I'll miss the get together on the 3rd but I'll be out again on the 12th May for three weeks if you are still around.

i wont be out then steve but on the 24th april me and rindaloo and her (id say lovely but he is currently beating me at scrabble on FB lol) husband are going to cafe soul, there are a few people go, we always meet at 12 and have a catch up, so if you can make that, its next wednesday, then that would be nice
