The first loss for Tescos in 20 years Turkey kipa/tesco part of the blame i wonder why ,H.P.sauce tesco 9tl,shop in baris manco small shop 5tl .efe extra strong ,kipa 5.09 tl the same small shop 5 tl ,chopped tom kipa 2.45 small shop same make 2.05 ,airfreshener refill kipa 9.50 tl Bim 4.65 : :)

Yeah I'm sure that's made all the difference to their lack of profits.

More to do with a £1.3 billion write down of Fresh and Easy I think Lance. Those prices seem quite a loy out though.

Tesco did not make a loss,in fact its pre-tax profits were £1.96 billion.That was its first fall in profits in 20 years.

Yeah, it's a bit like people celebrating when they announce that the rate of inflation has gone down. Many seem to think that things are going to get cheaper when all it means is they're getting more expensive but at a slightly slower pace.

Net profit was down to around £120m though but I guess they won't pay much tax this year!

I agree with Lance I would not choose Kipa because of its low prices.  Bimms remains the favourite for many items, because of both quality and certainly price, but you can't get everything there, in particular alchoholic bverage of any description!!
